Ron Lewis and his wife, Lynette, are tireless advocates on behalf of the disadvantaged and the oppressed both at home and around the world. In the early 1990’s, Ron founded the Youth Life Foundation of the Triangle- an award-winning educational and tutorial ministry to underprivileged children from inner-city Durham, North Carolina.
Ron is one of the leading servants and benefactors of the world-famous African Children’s Choir, a traveling musical group comprised entirely of African orphans aged 7-11 who have lost their parents from war, famine, or disease--most notably HIV/AIDS. He recently helped provide a permanent US home for the choir. Many similar works to uphold social justice and champion the cause of the forgotten are also being undertaken through Strategic Global Initiatives, a 501c3 that was formed for this purpose.
Ron is the Sr. Leader of MSNY in Manhattan and KPIC in Raleigh-Durham, NC.
He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and did graduate work at RTS, Charlotte, and Orlando.
